Joseph Henry Albertson, Jr. was the son of Joseph Henry & Malinda Caroline Staton Albertson, Sr. On August 20, 1937 Joseph married Ruby Lee Gann of Lavaca, Ar. October 16, 1940 "Joe" registered for the military draft at Belle Point School, Ft. Smith, Ar. May 1, 1944 Joe enlisted in the USMCR. In December 1944 Pvt. Albertson was admitted to the hospital suffering from acute Gastritis. He was discharged on June 1945 and sent to the invalid home for disability. He was discharged from the military Nov. 15, 1945. He is listed in the US Navy Casualties Books as wounded in Action or During Oprational War Missions, but that is the only place I find that....just on a list with his next of kin listed and it was his wife.
